Rail timetable changes for Auchinleck

Cathy Jamieson MSP says:

Transport Scotland has announced timetable changes which will take effect next week. Services between Glasgow and Carlisle via Kilmarnock, Auchinleck and New Cumnock will be enhanced with the introduction of additional early morning and revised evening services. A new early morning service, departing to Glasgow at 05.22 Monday - Saturday, will allow for better connections with cross border services, including London Euston.

The pattern of evening services on the Glasgow-Kilmarnock-Auchinleck-New Cumnock-Dumfries-Carlisle route will also now provide a 19.12 departure.

I have been in regular contact with Transport Scotland and Scotrail over the need for service improvements on this line, and will continue to press the case. If anyone has comments on these changes I will be happy to take these up.
